30 Day Writing Challenge - Day 16

Day 16: You find a journal on a train and...

I found a journal on a train. It was black with blue ink covering every page. I wanted to read as I read pretty much everything but it felt like an invasion of privacy even I couldn’t justify. The inside cover had no name or any other information as to its owner, just a single word. Breathe.I took a breath as instructed, then slipped the journal into by bag. I didn’t really intend to keep it but I wanted to keep it safe. Protect it from prying eyes like a heavily guarded secret. The train groaned to a stop and I stood, my bag now heavy with mystery. I doubted I’d ever find the journal’s owner but couldn’t wait to try. And maybe I’d get lucky.
